Elegant, Robust and Ergonomic
The PD140N retains the special ergonomic shape of its predecessor. The offset handle to ensure that the operator's hand does not affect the sensitive detection surface is retained. Special care has been taken into the mechanical design of the detector. There are no sharp corners or edges to ensure that the detector can be moved smoothly across the detection area without getting caught in buttons, buckles, folds or other parts.
Meets NIJ Standard 0602.02
The technical characteristics of the metal detector meet the NIJ Standard 0602.02 and the draft new NIJ Standard 0602.03. The PD140N has consistent sensitivity to magnetic and non-magnetic objects, including stainless steel objects. At the same time, the detector offers excellent compensation for influences on the body and ensures high immunity to external interference from electromagnetic and mechanical sources.
Fully digital device
The PD140N is a completely digital device. The electronic functions include a transceiver detection field based on digital signal processing technology (DSP), a digital user interface and an integrated USB port for external communication. This design, combined with a special printed antenna coil, enables excellent reliability and very high reproducibility.
State-of-the-art control panel
The control panel with switches and warning lights is made of high-strength silicone and guarantees a high level of protection for using the PD140N indoors and outdoors.
Advanced alarm display
Selectable alarm display modes include: Visual alarm display fixed or proportional to the detected signal; Audible alarm display with constant pitch or pitch proportional to the size of the detected object; Vibrating alert. It is possible for those responsible for safety to block individual or multiple operator parameters.
Increased continuous usage time
The PD140N metal detector can be powered by two 1.5V AA or LR6 alkaline batteries or NiMH rechargeable batteries with a battery life of over 100 hours. A power saving function is automatically activated during work breaks and increases battery life up to 200 hours. An internal circuit optimizes the charging process, which takes less than five hours.
