The CEIA PD 240 metal detector - elegant, robust and ergonomic
The PD240 retains the special ergonomic shape of its predecessor. The detached handle to ensure that the operator's hand does not affect the sensitive detection surface is retained. The sensitive detection surface of the new model is 70% wider than before.
This means less search effort per person and a shorter control process per person. Special care has been taken in the mechanical design of the detector. There are no sharp corners or edges to ensure that the detector can be moved smoothly over the detection area without getting caught in buttons, buckles, folds or other parts.
Meets NIJ Standard 0602.02
The technical characteristics of the metal detector meet the NIJ Standard 0602.02 and the draft of the new NIJ Standard 0602.03. The PD240 has a uniform sensitivity to magnetic and non-magnetic objects, including stainless steel objects. At the same time, the detector offers excellent compensation for influences on the body and ensures a high level of immunity to external interference from electromagnetic and mechanical sources.
Fully digital device
The PD240 is a completely digital device. The electronic functions include a transceiver detection field based on digital signal processing technology (DSP), a digital user interface and an integrated USB port for external communication. This design, combined with a special printed antenna coil, enables excellent reliability and very high reproducibility.
State-of-the-art control panel
The control panel with switches and warning lights is made of high-strength silicone and guarantees a high degree of protection for the use of the PD240 indoors and outdoors.
Latest plastics technology
The metal detector housing is made from the latest generation of technical polymers. This plastic guarantees a high chemical resistance and a long metal detector life even under the strongest mechanical stress.
Extended alarm display
The selectable alarm display modes include: Optical alarm display fixed or proportional to the detected signal; Acoustic alarm display with constant pitch or pitch proportional to the size of the detected object; Vibration alert. For those responsible for security, it is possible to block individual or several operator parameters.
Increased continuous usage time
The PD240 metal detector can be operated with two 1.5 V AA or LR6 alkaline batteries or NiMH rechargeable batteries with a battery life of over 100 hours.
A power saving function is automatically activated during work breaks and increases the battery life to up to 200 hours. An internal circuit optimizes the charging process, which takes less than five hours.
